Manchester City fullback Wayne Bridge won't let former Chelsea teammate John Terry wreck his World Cup dream.
Bridge has said he is ready for action with club and country and will not let the "Terrygate" affair stand in his way, says the Daily Star.
And he last night received the backing of his Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, who has told England bosses that Bridge is ready to claim his place in the national team.
Mancini will thrust Bridge back into the spotlight at Hull tomorrow after a heart-to-heart chat with his defender.
Bridge , said to be “in bits” following details of the affair between his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel and England captain Terry, has asked to play at the KC Stadium.
He is determined not to become the innocent victim of the whole business and will fight on, even if it means lining up in defence for the Three Lions alongside Terry. |
